Training for your Full A (Unrestricted) Licence
When it comes to your Direct Access (Full Category A) training and tests. MTS Rider Training will guide you and support you through every step. From your initial CBT course through to your MOD1 & MOD2 tests our patient and friendly team of instructors are here to make your journey to a Full Motorcycle Licence fun, yet safe.
Our Direct Access (DAS) courses vary in length from 3 to 5 days, with our 4 and 5 day courses being most common, with 1-2-1 options available for both. For those with suitable experience we can also offer a 3 day 1-2-1 course and with both Manual and Automatic options available we can cater for most rider requirements.
Choosing the right length course
It is important to take into consideration your previous riding experience and knowledge of the area local to the test centre. We therefore ask that you consider our Half Day or Full Day Big Bike Intro course. This stand alone session offers the opportunity to get used to a bigger bike, introduces you to the MOD1 exercises and allows an assessment of your road riding in preparation for your MOD2. Following this session your instructor can guide you on what would be the best course option to choose going forward. For some riders it can also highlight certain factors that may lead to a different and more flexible approach being required.
Just a few points that make us different from the rest
