CBT Training
Where it all begins
All riders with a provisional moped or motorcycle licence are required to complete a Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) course, in order to ride a moped, scooter or motorcycle (max 125cc) on the road with “L” Plates. Your CBT certificate is valid for two years upon successful completion. We offer both 1 & 2 Day courses keep to a maximum student to instructor ration of 2:1 and both courses can be conducted on a 1-2-1 basis upon request. Moving on to bigger bikes
Our A2 (47bhp Restricted) & A (Unrestricted) courses can be tailored to suit you as an individual. Depending on your age, you’ll typically be looking to gain your A2 (47bhp) or A (Unrestricted) licence. We also offer the option to gain your A1 (light) licence if required. Our courses are most commonly 4 or 5 Days in duration with MOD1 & MOD2 tests booked for the final day. We also offer a 6 & 7 day package that includes your CBT. We have an impressive fleet of training school bikes, with standard, low and tall seat options to suit and our bikes are typically less than three years old, low mileage and fully maintained.

Continued Rider Development
Advanced training is a great way to develop your skills as a rider, promote safety, reduce risks and insurance premiums too. We offer inhouse training and assessment for the DVSA’s own Enhanced Rider Scheme, as well as training you towards potential ROSPA (Gold) or an IAM (First). Several of our instructors are either ROSPA or IAM qualified observers or instructors and can help you better understand the science and therefore your understanding of what is happening when you are riding.

DAS Course Decided to get in touch with Chris after a somewhat poor experience completing my CBT with a different riding school in the area. Chris took the time on the phone to explain my options and discussed my road experience at length on the call before proposing a course tailored to my experience. Throughout my days tuition, I found Chris to be patient and a great coach who doesn’t just teach you to pass, but teaches you to be a safe rider and explains the dangers of the road extremely well.
